The Seminole Tribe of Florida has defined the stages of cleanup as follows:
Stage Zero: Identification of a possible brownfields site
Stage One: A phase one assessment has been preformed on the possible site which involves a historical investigation.
Stage Two: A phase two site assessment has been preformed using site characteristics and conditions and sampling and data analysis to determine the contaminant.
Stage Three: The physical clean-up of the site, which may include but is not limited to soil and/or water.
Stage Done: The site is clean and ready for further use.
