The American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Conference provides participants from throughout the United States and Canada a wonderful opportunity to "talk tourism". Through networking, problem solving and relevant educational sessions the Native American tourism industry will continue to grow and succeed. The conference also brings to the gathering invitees from federal and state government agencies, the private sector and a number of international tour operators.

Implement cultural tourism initiatives of the White House Conference on Travel and Tourism.

Promote networking among tribal communities to establish unity and understanding of the tourism industry.

Create a network that includes Indian tribes and individual organizations as well as representatives from the United States and the international tourism industry.

Establish recommendations for universal principles to guide Indian Tourism development and planning.

Provide educators with information and resources concerning American Indian heritage.
